How to create a scheduled meeting in Zoom

If you are planning on having a Zoom meeting at a later date, it is recommended to utilize the Schedule meeting feature. This option will allow you to create a well formatted calendar invite that can be sent using your preferred email application. If you are using Outlook or Gmail, participants can confirm that they will be attending the meeting.

Create a Scheduled Meeting:

  1. Launchoom the Zoom application and select the Schedule button.
  2. Enter the details of the meeting you wish to create (Time, Date, Meeting ID, Video/Audio, etc.)Schedule a meeting using Zoom
  3. (Optional) To add a Password to your Zoom meeting, check the box net to “Require meeting password” and make sure to RECORD the generated password.Schedule a password protected meeting using Zoom
  4. Select the Schedule button at the bottom of the screen.
  5. From here, your default mail app will open (Outlook for this example) and you can invite people by typying in their email in the To section and hit Send.Schedule a meeting using Zoom - Send using Outlook
